a little thought of harry potter, children and actions

my good friend Bob once remarked, passingly, that the kids in the Harry Potter films never trusted the adults to take care of things.

but that actually happens, because the adults (more in books than the films, hollywood does not do it justice, really) just do not listen, they are preoccupied by ‘what is’, ‘what always has been’, and ‘what is right’.

but sometimes ‘what always has been’ has not been always. sometimes it has been firmly put in people’s heads just to rule them, to make them see what is not, and to ‘unsee’ what is.

and so the kids have to face the danger alone. un-listened-to.
